We are happy to release Hydranet DEX — a DEX with a built-in wallet, off-chain ramp, and Lightning support!

The Hydranet DEX is a Layer 3 cross-chain DEX that utilizes Layer 2 protocols (Lightning Network and Connext) to allow low-fee, trustless, cross-chain swaps between BTC, ETH, and additional altcoins all on one platform.

The Hydranet DEX creates a system for market-making over a Layer 3 Orderbook. Using layer 2 state channel solutions, liquidity can contain assets on different chains, enabling users to trade cross-chain, against automated Layer 3 Orderbooks using near-instant Layer 2 State Channels. As such, users can keep assets in the Layer 2 and 3 ecosystems to execute low-fee trades indefinitely.

This release is a testnet wallet that will receive constant updates based on user feedback. This allows you to put your own input in throughout this journey! As it’s a late-stage beta, we do expect there could be potential bugs or crashes. So if you come across this then let us know so we can get it fixed.

We invite everyone to see the progress we have made on this wallet and its DEX component. We appreciate all of the contributions from the Hydranet community! Please report bugs in our Discord.

Especially on the multicurrency light wallet. This has been a massive journey to create easy-to-use Layer 1 & 2 wallets, with a great UI and multi-chain functionality and we’re not finished yet! So keep your eyes peeled for more to come!

The current limits for opening channels and trading are as follows:

• A maximum channel capacity limit of 100 USD per channel.
• A maximum trade limit of 100 USD per trade.
