Welcome to the October edition of the Hydranet monthly update! This month’s standout achievement is the launch of our new website and documentation page. A well-needed update hosting a fresh, user-friendly website that better reflects Hydranet’s evolving vision since the Core DEX launch.
As highlighted, our new website marks a major update for Hydranet. Designed by our talented new designer, Geronmeo, the website embraces a sleek, minimalist style that underscores our pivot from the Core DEX to the new, improved Web DEX. Alongside the website, our weekly and monthly banners have also received a facelift, which you may have noticed over the past weeks. This facelift is setting a new standard for Hydranet’s communications.
An updated documentation page is also live, detailing everything you need to know about our project, products, and competitive advantages. If you haven’t explored it yet, now’s the perfect time!
In mid-October, we launched an Alpha waitlist, inviting our community to sign up and be among the first to experience our upcoming web-based, off-chain, trade functionality. Progress on this functionality has been promising, and it’s on track for an Alpha release in the near future. Signing up on the waitlist gives you an early-access chance to our web-based wallet and DEX, giving you a sneak peek at this significant advancement. Don’t miss the chance to be part of this launch — sign up and invite your friends and colleagues to join too!
October kicked off with the release of our Q3 financial statement, providing a comprehensive overview of our key milestones and financial allocations for the past quarter. This update covered major achievements, including the finalization of Lithium v2, infrastructure enhancements (such as self-hosting microservices), and off-chain invoice-based improvements to swap mechanisms. Much of this groundwork will be instrumental as we continue to progress toward a fully functional web wallet and DEX.
Additionally, we welcomed MFlankes to the Hydranet team at the end of October, with a special focus on investor relations.
This October, we launched a new “engage-to-earn” initiative to reward community engagement on Discord and X. Members who stay active in conversations or react to announcements can earn micro HDN rewards while connecting with the community.
To support this system, we’ve added two new Discord channels: engage2earn and tweet2earn. The engage2earn channel lets you check your current reward balance directly in chat, while tweet2earn links your X account so you can earn rewards for sharing your Hydranet content on X. This system opens up exciting opportunities for creative engagement campaigns and is already bringing our community closer together. Stay active, have fun, and start earning with Hydranet’s Engage-to-Earn!
No Hydranet monthly update would be complete without the latest on our web wallet and DEX! In mid-October, a new build was rolled out to our closed testers, addressing a previous issue that required users to erase an entire input field to make changes to amounts to be sent/received. This fix significantly enhances user experience and was well-received by our closed testers.
We’ve also continued work on the cloud-based channel backup service, previously highlighted as a key feature for our mainnet version. Although still under development, this service remains a top priority.
Lastly, we’ve made numerous updates to the order book service, including refinements to order-matching logic to support diverse order types, validation of channel balances, and new functions for adding and removing orders. These advancements bring us closer to full testing of the orderbook’s end-to-end functionality, with frontend connections on the horizon.
